Sinch SMS for Salesforce is an AppExchange application which allows users to send and receive text messages directly from the Salesforce platform.
Messages are logged in the activity feed of related records and can be reported on via the task object. Sinch SMS for Salesforce supports MMS, multiple accounts and numbers, and sending to custom objects.
What can it do?
1:1 Conversational Messaging - Send and receive messages in a user-friendly message feed that behaves just like a handset, with outgoing messages displayed on the right and incoming messages on the left. The feed is displayed directly on the related Salesforce record.
Bulk Message Sending - Send bulk messages to any compatible object's list views or send a broadcast to campaign members. Use our SMS for Reports feature to send messages to records in reports you've generated, available only to basic objects like leads and contacts.
Automated Message Sending - Using the power of Salesforce Flows, messages can be triggered automatically by simply adding a create task record to new or existing Flows.
Reply Management - A built in inbox notifies logged in Salesforce users of new replies. The keyword feature can automatically create cases, leads, campaign members, and update fields when a specific keyword is received. Replies can also trigger more automated actions through Salesforce Flows, including automatic replies.
Templates and Personalization - Create templates to standardize messaging, increase user efficiency, and add personalization to your messages using merge fields. Templates can be used in 1:1 messaging, bulk sending, and automated sending. Merge fields are also available for use in free form messages.
Opt-out Management - When a recipient replies back with an opt-out keyword i.e. STOP, the application will automatically mark the record as opted-out and prevent future sending.
How does it work?
Sinch SMS connects Salesforce with the MessageMedia API to send and receive messages.
To use Sinch SMS for Salesforce, the application must be installed from the AppExchange and a MessageMedia account must be connected. A 14-day free trial of both Sinch SMS for Salesforce and MessageMedia will be provided to test the application in your Salesforce sandbox or production org.
When the trial is over, the trials can be upgraded to active accounts.
