You can create SMS templates for any Salesforce Object that has a Phone field and Allows Activities.
Create SMS templates
- Navigate to the SMS Templates tab in the Sinch SMS for Salesforce app.
- Click on the New button from the list view action bar.
- Configure the template:
- Template Name: The internal reference for the template.
- Object: The object the template will send against.
- Folder: Select the template folder you wish to place the template into
- Sender account: The account the message will be sent from.
- Sender ID: The phone number the message will send from.
- Send to: The phone number the message will send to.

Override with User's Default Account:
- Unchecked: The account is defined by the Sender account field.
- Checked: Overrides the Sender account field with User's Default Account.
- Related Object (if using a merge field): The primary Object set on the template or a directly related object.
- Merge field: Select the merge field you wish to use (e.g. First Name) to automatically insert the into the message area.
- Customize field mapping for each language: Select if you want to create separate field mappings for different languages.
- When you're ready, click Save template.
WhatsApp templates
If you have a WhatsApp business account connected, you can pull or build WhatsApp templates directly from within Sinch SMS for Salesforce.
- Navigate to the SMS Templates tab in the Sinch SMS for Salesforce app.
- Click the down-arrow in the list view action bar.
- Click Pull WhatsApp Templates or Build WhatsApp Templates.
- Pull WhatsApp Templates: Sinch SMS for Salesforce will automatically pull templates from your Sinch MessageMedia account.
- Build WhatsApp Templates: You'll be taken to the Social templates tab in your Sinch MessageMedia account.
