If you have sub accounts in Sinch MessageMedia e.g. for different departments/offices, you can still connect multiple sub accounts to a single Zoho CRM account. Follow the steps for each Sinch MessageMedia account/sub-account you'd like to connect.
Add sub account to Zoho CRM
Generate API credentials
- Log in to your Sinch MessageMedia account and click on the Account Switcher icon at the top of left-side bar navigation.
- Click the arrow to display your list of sub-accounts and select the sub-account you want to add to Zoho CRM.
- From the left-side navigation bar, click on the ⚙️ Settings icon and then on API Settings.

Select the API tab, scroll down to HMAC Authentication and click the Create new key button.
- In the pop-up window, provide a descriptive name e.g. 'Zoho CRM API key' and click Create Key.

Once your API Credentials have been created, you'll see a confirmation screen with the credential details. Copy the credentials to the clipboard then click Ok.
Important: Your API credential details are only shown once in the Sinch MessageMedia platform. If you’re not ready to use them right away, be sure to save them in a safe place for future access. If the API credentials are lost, you’ll need to generate a new key and secret.
Add Gateway in Zoho CRM
- Log in to your Zoho CRM account.
- From the left-side navigation menu, click on the Marketplace icon.
- Click on Installed and locate the Sinch SMS for Zoho app.
- Click on Configure.
- Click on the Integration/Sync tab.
- Click on Account Manager.

Click on the Add New Gateway button.
- Configure the New Gateway:
- Gateway Type: Select MESSAGE_MEDIA
- Description: Enter a suitable name to help identify which Sinch MessageMedia account/sub-account you're connecting

Paste Sinch credentials here: Paste the HMAC API credentials from your Sinch MessageMedia account
- Click the Save button.
- To change and assign the From Numbers to specific users/teams, you'll need to assign each of the Sinch MessageMedia phone numbers.
