To start sending SMS messages from Zoho CRM, you'll first need to set up a new Sinch MessageMedia account (if you don't already have one) and connect it to the Zoho CRM platform.
Set up a new Sinch MessageMedia account
-
Navigate to the Sinch MessageMedia Zoho registration screen to create an account and get started with your 14-day trial. If you have an existing Sinch MessageMedia account, you can choose to click Log in.
Note that when you create a new trial account, you'll be given a balance of 25 free credits to help get you started.
- If you've created an account, you'll be prompted to verify your phone number.
- Make sure you log into your email account as you'll need to verify the email address you used to sign up.
- Once you're verified and logged in, you can select the account you want to connect to Zoho CRM. Click Choose Account and you'll be directed to the Integrations page in the Sinch MessageMedia platform - the HubSpot integration should appear as connected.
Connect your Sinch MessageMedia account to Zoho CRM
- To create new HMAC API credentials, from the left-side navigation menu, click on the ⚙️ Settings tab and then click API settings.
-
Select the API tab, scroll down to HMAC Authentication and click the Create new key button.
- In the pop-up window, provide a descriptive name e.g. 'Zoho CRM API key' and click Create Key.
-
Once your API Credentials have been created, you'll see a confirmation screen with the credential details. Copy the credentials to the clipboard then click Ok.
Important: Your API credential details are only shown once in the Sinch MessageMedia platform. If you’re not ready to use them right away, be sure to save them in a safe place for future access. If the API credentials are lost, you’ll need to generate a new key and secret.
- When installing the Zoho CRM app and following the bot instructions, you'll be asked if you have an existing Sinch MessageMedia account. This is where you should enter your API key and secret.
- Follow the remaining instructions in the setup wizard to complete the connection.
