Character limits, supported message types and setup considerations to review before getting started with Sinch MessageMedia and HubSpot.
Character limits
Message costs are influenced by the number of messages sent, which in turn depends on the number of characters in each message.
In some cases, SMS character limits can vary - particularly when the message includes special characters (Unicode characters) e.g. emojis. These characters reduce the maximum length of each message, which can increase the total number of messages sent.
Find a detailed explanation about understanding character limits here - using special characters shortens your message length allowance.
When composing a message to send to a contact, the integration automatically detects any Unicode characters and will show an alert.
When composing and sending messages via HubSpot workflows, no alert will be shown if the message contains Unicode characters which may affect the character limit and message count.
