You can create custom reports using single objects and cross objects in HubSpot. This can be utilized to report on SMS activity within your HubSpot account.
Report on total SMS sent / received by contact owner
- In the left-side navigation, click on Reporting.
- Click on Reports.
- Click the Create report button.
- Click the Single-object report tile.
- For the data source, select Contacts.
- Click Next.
- From the Properties section, click the Add Contacts Property button.
- Search and add the Contact owner (under Sales properties) and Total SMS sent (under SMS Sent) properties. You can also add Total SMS Received (under SMS Received) to generate a similar type of report.

Click Advanced Filters.
- Search for the contact property Create date (under Contact information).
- Select a suitable filter e.g. Create date is after the date you started creating contacts (for all-time).
- When you're ready, close the Filters editor.
- Click in the Custom Contacts Report field at the top and give your report a Name.
- Click on the Next button which will bring you to the Visualization tab.
- Select the Donut chart type.

In the Displaying section add the Contact Owner property and in the Measured by section, add the Total SMS Sent (Sum) property.
- When you're ready, click the Save report button.
- Select the option to add the report to an existing dashboard, a new dashboard or don't add to a dashboard.
- Depending on which option you choose, you may need to fill out further details e.g. selecting an existing dashboard or adding details for a new Dashboard and selecting access permissions.
- Click Next / Save & add.
- You should now see your report in the list on the Reports page so you can access it at any time.
Report on contacts by last sent / received SMS date
- In the left-side navigation, click on Reporting.
- Click on Reports.
- Click the Create report button.
- Click the Single-object report tile.
- For the data source, select Contacts.
- Click Next.
- From the Properties section, click the Add Contacts Property button.
- Search and add the Last sent SMS (under SMS Sent) and Last received SMS (under SMS Received) properties.

Click Advanced Filters.
- Search for the contact property Create date (under Contact information).
- Select a suitable filter e.g. Create date is after the date you started creating contacts (for all-time).
- When you're ready, close the Filters editor.
- Click in the Custom Contacts Report field at the top and give your report a Name.
- Click on the Next button which will bring you to the Visualization tab.
- Select Table as the Chart Type.

Use the drop-down to select Unsummarized data table.
- When you're ready, click the Save report button.
- Select the option to add the report to an existing dashboard, a new dashboard or don't add to a dashboard.
- Depending on which option you choose, you may need to fill out further details e.g. selecting an existing dashboard or adding details for a new Dashboard and selecting access permissions.
- Click Next / Save & add.
- You should now see your report in the list on the Reports page so you can access it at any time.
