You can track the read status of your RCS campaigns to retarget smarter and boost performance. With the latest RCS technology, you can monitor delivery status and see when your contacts have read your messages - giving you powerful insights to optimize engagement and drive better results.
Create a HubSpot Segment for your campaign
You can create a HubSpot Segment for your campaign by following the steps below to monitor its performance:
- From the left-side navigation, click CRM and then Segments (Lists).
- Click the Create Segment button.
- Select a Contacts based list.
- Click Next.
- Rename your list e.g. BFCM campaign - Read Contacts.
- Click the + Add filter button.
- Click on the Events tab and search for Sinch SMS & MMS.

Then select the Sinch SMS, MMS, WhatsApp & RCS: RCS Message Read properties event.
- From the properties, select Message Content.

Set the filter to contains any of, and enter the URL(s) used in your RCS campaign sent via HubSpot workflows.
e.g. If your campaign included a card, paste the card’s media URL here.
This ensures your list only includes contacts who read the specific RCS message containing that card. - Once you're ready, click the Next and then click Publish button.
- After saving, click on the Edit Columns button to add the Added to Segment date column. This allows you to view the date and time of the read by the customer.
