This article provides an overview of the account settings available on the Sinch MessageMedia platform. Feature access may vary by brand and subscription, with Sinch MessageMedia offering the most comprehensive options. If you notice a feature here that you'd like to use but can't at the moment, please contact your account manager or our customer support team to learn more about upgrading.
Account settings can be found under Settings, which is divided into the following sections:
Account
Account | General
The General tab is where you can manage your account details:
A) Account name and ID - you can edit your account name here, and copy your account ID if you need it (e.g. for support queries).
B) Account time zone - this is relevant when scheduling messages, reading reports, and using socially aware sending. Ideally this would reflect the time zone local to your account.
C) Automatic unsubscribe (opt-out) - here's where you set your opt-out keywords that recipients use to unsubscribe automatically from your messages.
E) Account closure - click to view options for updating or closing your account.
Account | Security
The Security tab is where you can configure Single Sign-On (SSO) and Two-factor authentication (2FA):
Account | Sub accounts
The Sub Accounts section is where you can create and manage your Sub-Accounts:
Notes:
- Sub accounts are only visible from the parent level account.

Some subscriptions do not include sub accounts, in which case you may see the option to purchase them as an add on at an extra month cost, or upgrade to a larger monthly plan:
- SMSBroadcast and Wholesale SMS customers do not have access to this functionality and will need to reach out to our support team to migrate to the Sinch MessageMedia brand.
Numbers
Numbers | Active
The Active tab, where you'll see all of the options for sender IDs currently available or active for your account:
Shared numbers pool - This is the standard default for most countries (excluding the US). It uses a shared pool of mobile numbers for sending messages, allowing customers to reply.
Dedicated numbers - these are unique, purchasable numbers that you can use to build familiarity and trust with your customers.
Alphanumeric sender IDs (formerly alpha tags) - these allow you to appear in your customer's inbox as your business name.
My own numbers - here you can manage the personal mobile numbers that you may wish to use to send and receive messages from. Your messages will appear to send from your personal/ business mobile number, and replies will appear both in the Sinch platform and on your mobile phone.
Short codes - a requirement in some countries, this is a short number that customers can easily recognize as you. This option may not be available to all users depending on your country's legal requirements.
Numbers | RCS
Note: RCS is only available for Sinch MessageMedia customers. If you are on another brand and wish to use this functionality, please reach out to your account manager or our support team to explore how you can migrate to Sinch MessageMedia.
If you have RCS enabled on your account this is where you can create or see your active RCS agents.
Numbers | Settings
The Settings tab is where you'll find all the options related to sending messages:
All channels - these settings will impact all messaging channels (SMS/ RCS/ social channels e.g. Whatsapp):
Default message template - this is where you can select a standard template to pre-populate every message with. E.g. a greeting, signature or opt-out message.
Socially aware sending - set the time frame for sending to avoid disturbing recipients outside of certain hours.
SMS - these settings will impact SMS messages:
SMS limit - You can limit the number of messages sent daily or monthly from your account to help control costs.
Default sender ID - This is the default Sender ID for all messages unless a different one is specified when creating the message.
Short trackable links - Enable or disable URL shortening and click tracking for your messages here.
Email to SMS -This is where you'll find all your Email to SMS settings.
Always request delivery receipts -With this turned on, you'll always get delivery receipts back from carriers when messages are successfully delivered. This is essential for reporting so ideally should remain on at all times.
Social channels
My channels
Here you can view all your connected social messaging channels, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram.
Available channels
Here you can see all Social messaging channels that are available to connect to.
Engage Widget
Note: The Engage Widget is only available for Sinch MessageMedia customers. If you are on another brand and wish to use this feature, please reach out to your account manager or our support team to explore how you can migrate to Sinch MessageMedia.
The Engage Widget is a powerful on-site tool that helps you grow your contact list by capturing subscribers directly from your website. You can manage an existing sign up form or create one from this page.
Billing
Billing
The Plan tab is where you can view and manage your subscription, billing, and payment information:
Billing Details - this is where you can view your account information relating to your subscription, including activating automatic payments. If you're on a Pre-Paid account, this is also where you can configure balance notifications and automatic top-ups (super handy if you don't ever want to run out of credit).
Billing Information - this is where you can view and edit your billing details, including the email address that all your downloads are emailed to.
Payment Methods - this is where you can add/update your payment details on file. You can add multiple payment methods to keep handy for any manual payments, as well as nominate a default for any automatic payments and pre-paid top ups.
Plan
From the Plan page you can view our standard bundle plans that you can upgrade/ downgrade to.
Invoices
The Invoices tab is where you'll find your Invoice History:
Sub accounts
Sub accounts are subsidiaries of parent accounts, admins of parent accounts are able to create them and add users to them from this page.
Users
The Users section is where you can create and manage Users for your account:
Activity Log
The Activity Log tab is where you can view all the activity that has occurred in your account:
API Settings

The API tab is where you can create and manage API Credentials:
