If the custom channel (dedicated number) is no longer required for sending messages from the HubSpot conversations inbox, you can either deactivate the inbox integration or disconnect the custom channel entirely.
Edit or deactivate the custom channel integration
To edit the routing or ownership settings for conversations within the HubSpot inbox:
- From the left-side navigation bar, click on CRM and then Inbox.
- Within your HubSpot Inbox, click on Inbox Settings.
- Hover over the channel, then click on Edit to modify how conversations are managed and who they're assigned to.
If the custom channel (dedicated number) is no longer needed for sending messages to the inbox. To deactivate the custom channel:
- From the Inbox Settings screen, under the Status column, click on the toggle button to toggle the custom channel on/off.
- Confirm the action by clicking Turn off in the confirmation pop-up window.
Note: Deactivating the channel will not remove any existing SMS messages already stored in the inbox.
Disconnect the custom channel
If you need to disconnect the custom channel integration from the HubSpot inbox:
- From the left-side navigation bar, click on CRM and then Inbox.
- Within your HubSpot Inbox, click on Inbox Settings.
- Locate the custom channel associated with the linked dedicated number.
- Hover over the channel, then click on the Options menu that appears.
- Select Delete to remove the dedicated number and custom channel.
- Confirm the action by typing the email account address connected and clicking the Delete connected inbox button in the confirmation pop-up window.
Note: Removing the integration will not delete any existing SMS messages already stored in the inbox.
