Recipient records must be enabled before messages can be sent as part of workflow actions - these can be done individually or in bulk.
Enable records for workflows individually
To enable records for workflows individually:
- Navigate to the record and click on the Edit button (supported record types).
- Click on the Custom tab.
- Check the OPT-IN WORKFLOW SMS box.

Click Save.
- Repeat these steps for each record.
Enable records for workflows in bulk
To enable multiple records for workflow sending at once, run a mass update on the records to check the OPT-IN WORKFLOW SMS box.
