Salesforce | Short Trackable Links (URL shortener)

When Short Trackable Links (STL) is activated on your account, Sinch automatically shortens any URL you include in your message to 22 characters. This helps to keep messages concise and cost-efficient - without losing any tracking functionality.

STL feature activated

If Short Trackable Links is activated on your account, you'll see a note confirming that your link has been shortened. 

• Each link you add will only increase your message length by 22 characters, regardless of how long the original URL is.
• This keeps your character count low and prevents your SMS from splitting into multiple parts.

STL feature not activated

If Short Trackable Links is not activated, you'll see a note letting you know the feature is disabled. 

• Your message character count will increase by the full length of the URL.
• Longer links can push your SMS over the character-limit, creating multi-part messages that cost more to send - especially when sending larger broadcasts.
