Managing opt-outs is just as important as sending great messages. This guide explains how to unsubscribe and re-subscribe contacts, so you can respect customer preferences, stay compliant, and keep your communication lists accurate and up to date.
Important: Compliance and consent are extremely important when managing contact subscription preferences. If you have any doubts, reach out to our customer support team by clicking the profile icon at the bottom left of your screen and selecting Chat with Support.
Contact subscription preferences are managed individually for each communication channel. For instance, subscribing a contact to receive SMS messages will not automatically subscribe them to receive WhatsApp messages. The same logic applies to unsubscribing contacts.

Monitoring subscriber trends
The All Contacts page displays subscription trend data alongside your totals. At the top of the page, you'll see how your subscribed and unsubscribed contacts have changed compared to last month - for example, a percentage increase or decrease in subscribers for each communication channel. This gives you a quick view of how your audience is growing or shrinking over time, so you can spot any sudden drops in subscribers and take action early.
A spike in unsubscribes may indicate that contacts are opting out of communications, which could point to messaging frequency or relevance issues worth reviewing. On the other hand, a steady growth in subscribed contacts suggests your subscriber growth efforts are working effectively. Keeping an eye on these numbers also helps you stay on top of consent management, ensuring you're only actively reaching out to contacts who have agreed to receive communications.
