The Sinch MessageMedia mobile app allows composing new messages by selecting recipients via search or contact lists synced from the web account. Users can modify recipient lists and choose a Sender ID from verified phone numbers linked to their account, displayed above the message input. Message templates from the web can be used, and number management remains web-only.
Selecting recipients
Individual recipients
- To start a new message from the mobile app, tap the pencil icon at the top.
- In the “Search” field, enter the recipient’s phone number manually or search for a contact using their name, or part of their phone number, and select the appropriate result.
- To quickly contact someone you’ve messaged recently, use the “Recently messaged” suggestions.

All chosen recipients will appear in the “Selected” section. You can add as many contacts as needed.
Important: If you don’t include the country code, the system will default to the country set in your account settings.
- Once all recipients have been added, press Enter to start composing your message, or simply click in the message input area. The detailed recipients view will be updated, and you will see “Sending to,” which indicates the total number of recipients included in your message.
Contact lists

To send a bulk message to the list of contacts, start searching by the list name and then choose the list. All chosen recipients will appear in the Selected section.
Note: Note that contact list search works only by the list name.
- Contact lists are mirrored from your web account, and the mobile app currently does not support list creation and management. However, you can modify the selection within the list for your campaign, using the detailed list view. To modify the number of recipients within an existing group for your message, first select the list, then tap the “i” icon, and manually add or remove the contacts as needed.
Sender ID selector
Inside the message composer, you can also choose the sender ID you wish to use. By default, it is pre-populated with the default sender ID configured in your account settings.
If you are planning to use another of your sender IDs for your campaign, you can change it by pressing the currently selected sender ID:
And then choosing from your list of other verified sender IDs by selecting one and clicking Save.
Notes:
- In cases where a sender ID does not support incoming messages, you will see a corresponding alert.
- Only verified sender ID's available on your account will be displayed. Any that are still being processed/ are under review will not display until they have been verified.
- Sender ID management features - such as adding sender IDs, setting a default sender ID and sender ID verifications - are available exclusively in the web platform.
Using message templates
To speed up message content creation, use message templates. You can create and modify templates on the web platform, and then use them in the mobile application.
If a template contains custom fields (#example#), these will be automatically populated with the corresponding recipient data. If no data is available, the fields will remain empty.
Once your message is ready, you can send it by pressing the Send button.
