AI Productivity Assistant
Users can use this feature to delegate tasks to the AI productivity assistant e.g. reschedule an appointment or generate a support case based on the conversation.

Bug fixes and refinements
- When someone sent an SMS to your NetSuite account that wasn't part of an existing conversation, the system was creating two duplicate communication records instead of one. Inbound messages now create a single, clean record, so your communication history stays accurate and easier to follow.
- Recurring Batch SMS schedules had stopped firing, which meant automated SMS broadcasts weren't going out on their configured cadence (daily, weekly, etc.). Recurring Batch SMS now runs reliably on the schedule you've set up, so your customers receive their messages on time again.
- Sending Bulk or Batch SMS from a transaction record (such as a Sales Order) was failing, especially when only specific records were selected from the list. You can now send Bulk and Batch SMS from transaction records without errors, including when filtering down to just the records you want to message.

NS 7.5.1 delivers improvements across Conversations, SMS templates, custom-field support, batch messaging de-duplication, and error handling/logging. It also includes backend fixes for workflows, permissions, and email/SMS integrations, improving reliability, usability, and observability of the NetSuite integration.
Support for custom fields on Item Fulfillment
Support for sending SMS to custom phone field in Item Fulfillment records and referencing custom fields in SMS template:
SMS can now be sent to custom phone fields on Item Fulfillment records.
SMS templates can now reference custom fields on Item Fulfillment, enabling richer, customised fulfilment messages.
Bug fixes and refinements
Conversations & Messaging UX
Own numbers are now clearly displayed in the Conversations UI, making it easier for users to see which number is being used in each thread.
Pressing Enter in the message composer correctly inserts line breaks, restoring expected text-entry behaviour.
Visual tweaks to the MMS attachment UI in workflows to improve clarity and alignment.
When the Send button is disabled, a clear warning is now shown to explain why (e.g. missing recipient or invalid configuration).
Refactor of the SMS Templates Screen (folders and files) to improve code structure and maintainability, enabling faster future changes.
SMS templates, merge fields & analytics
Single SMS and Conversation preview now use the new template engine to resolve merge fields, making previews more accurate and consistent with sent messages.
The frontend now sends the template ID to the backend whenever a template is used, enabling better tracking and analytics.
The backend now emits a
used_templateevent to Segment each time a template is used, improving product analytics on template adoption and usage patterns.
Batch messaging & de-duplication
Discovery and design work around de-duplicating recipients from Batch SMS Transaction Saved Searches, guiding the final de-duplication strategy.
Backend behaviour improved to prevent multiple SMS messages being sent to the same recipient when using grouped lists for batch messaging.
Error handling, logging & diagnostics
When a message cannot be sent, the backend now returns a specific error code, enabling clearer UI messages and easier troubleshooting.
Introduces/enhances user-facing error logs for workflow failures so administrators can see and diagnose issues directly.
Centralises
log.*calls into a single logging function, allowing logging to multiple destinations and improving maintainability.
Workflows, email integration & permissions
For the old Support Case workflow, the created receipt now correctly sets the recipient to the assigned employee (“Assigned To”), improving clarity and routing.
Contact name is now added to the email subject line for message responses, making notifications more informative and scannable.
Fixed role/permission configuration for the “Sinch UE - SMS Opt Out” script so it can run reliably and handle opt-outs correctly.
Conversations, attachments & UI
Fixed an issue where the PDF icon was not displayed correctly in Conversations.
Resolved a bug where attachments in Preview Message were not cleared after sending, preventing them from incorrectly persisting on subsequent messages.
Template metadata
Corrected the “date modified” value for SMS templates so it accurately reflects the last change.
Inbound SMS & dummy email
Removed the hardcoded
dummyemail@messagemedia.comfrom the inbound SMS flow so that real customer email routing is used instead.

AI suggested replies
Save time when you're replying to SMS conversations by using the AI suggested replies feature.
Easy webhook setup
Previously, when setting up webhooks for delivery reports and inbound SMS and MMS, this was done one at a time. You can now click one button and update webhooks for every Sinch account you've connected to NetSuite.
Automated MMS
You can now send MMS (including PDFs) from workflows.
Improvements to conversation screen
The conversation screen has several improvements:
- UI uplift with new icons
- Bug fix with message ordering (previously if customers replied quickly, the messages would sometimes appear in the wrong order)
- The from number is now visible so you can tell which contact sent the message
Other workflow enhancements
You can trigger workflow SMS to custom record types (make sure you map the Opt In Workflow SMS field) and you can use the send SMS from sales rep option from the workflow SMS configuration screen.
