We're phasing out support for Twilio, starting from 15 December, 2023. We've done our best to anticipate questions you may have about this, so have a read through below.
If your question isn't represented here, reach out to smsforzohosupport@messagemedia.com.
How do I initiate migration to Sinch MessageMedia?
We have a dedicated team to help you migrate from Twilio to Sinch MessageMedia. Just click here to book in a time and they'll reach out to you to get you sorted out.
What if I don't migrate to Sinch MessageMedia?
You'll retain access to your message history in the Smooth Messages module, but won’t be able to send or receive SMS via our CRM integration after 1 February, 2024.
Will the pricing or my billing be affected?
We'll stop charging for our CRM integration, effective 1 February, 2024 and will refund any unused portion of your annual subscription.
If you become a Sinch MessageMedia customer, you'll be billed as per the messaging plan you choose.
Why is this happening?
We don't have access to Twilio's backend, which makes it very challenging for us to help you if you experience SMS deliverability issues. If you use Sinch MessageMedia, we see the complete picture and can provide much better support.
What are the benefits of Sinch MessageMedia over Twilio?
Sinch MessageMedia has features that Twilio doesn't. For example, if you want to send really large (10,000+ contacts) bulk SMS campaigns, you can send them from the Sinch MessageMedia Hub - which (at the time of writing this article) isn’t possible in Twilio.
Can I keep using Twilio to make phone calls if I migrate?
Yes. You can keep making voice calls using Twilio and just move the SMS capabilities over to Sinch MessageMedia. We can explain this over a meeting. Book a time here.
