We're phasing out support for Twilio starting 15 December 2023. Below are answers to common questions about what this means and how to migrate to Sinch MessageMedia.
How do I migrate from Twilio to Sinch MessageMedia?
We have a dedicated team ready to help. Book a time here and they'll reach out and guide you through the migration process.
What happens if I don't migrate?
You'll still have access to your existing message history in the Sinch SMS module. However, after 1 February 2024, you won't be able to send or receive SMS through our CRM integration.
Will pricing or billing change?
Yes:
- From 1 February 2024, we'll stop charging for the CRM integration and refund any unused portion of your annual subscription.
- If you migrate to Sinch MessageMedia, your billing will be based on the messaging plan you choose.
Why are you phasing out support for Twilio?
We don't have access to Twilio's backend, which makes it difficult to support SMS deliverability issues. With Sinch MessageMedia, we have full visibility into the process and can provide faster, more effective support.
What are the benefits of Sinch MessageMedia compared to Twilio?
Sinch MessageMedia offers features not available in Twilio e.g. you can run large-scale bulk SMS campaigns (10,000+ contacts) directly from the Sinch MessageMedia platform - something Twilio doesn't currently support.
Can I continue using Twilio for phone calls?
Yes. You can keep using Twilio for voice calls and migrate only your SMS to Sinch MessageMedia. Our team can explain how this works during your migration session.
