Setting up Chatbox to SMS on Shopify

You can easily drop in the Chatbox to SMS code snippet onto your Shopify website to have the Chatbox to SMS widget appear on your storefront. Depending on how your Shopify store has been set up and what theme you’re using some of the file names might be slightly different, so be sure to consult with those that manage your Shopify store if necessary.

Here are the instructions that get Chatbox to SMS onto your store:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store

2. Click Themes and click the Customise button

3. Click the 3 dots menu at the top of the page, and select Edit Code

4. In the Layout section, click {/} theme.liquid

5. In the theme.liquid file, add the Chatbox <script>…</script> code snippet as a new line above the </head> tag:

Depending what other services you use, you might have others scripts in there like Google Analytics. 

Also, if you’re using additional script managers for your store, there might be other places where additional scripts like this are managed.
