You can create a workflow to update a deal property across all deals linked to the associated contact. The workflow is effective when the contact is only linked to one deal. If the contact is connected to multiple deals, a single inbound SMS could trigger all associated deals to update - make sure this approach fits your use case.
Update deal property workflow
- From the workflow builder, open the Trigger workflow section.
- Click on Met filter criteria , or When filter criteria is met if it's an existing workflow.
- In the Eligible records segment, select Contact.
- In the Add criteria segment, scroll down to Integration filters and click Sinch SMS & MMS.
- In the search bar, search 'received' to filter for received message triggers.
From the list, select Sinch SMS & MMS: SMS Received Properties for inbound SMS.
- Define the criteria for your workflow e.g. whether the SMS should be from a specific source.
- When you're ready, click Save to confirm the trigger.
- Click on the + icon to open the list of available actions.
- Scroll down and click on Edit Record (under CRM).
In the Edit Record screen, configure the following settings:
- Record type: Deal (Associated object)
- Association to object: All associated deals
- Property to edit: Deal pipeline and stage
A fourth field will appear, where you can choose a value and select the stage to which you want the deal to move once the inbound SMS is received.
- Click Save.
- Once you're ready, click Review and publish to save the workflow.
