This article explains the Account Verification process. New accounts will default to Unverified status. You can request to have your account verified to gain access to more features. This process ensures that only legitimate businesses use our platform to send compliant content to their customers. Users must verify their identity, business information, and contact details.
Note: Account verification for US/ CA based customers is completed as part of the number registration process rather than by the methods outlined in this article. This varies depending on the number type, see:

What is an unverified account?
If you have not completed the initial verification process when creating the account, it will remain in an unverified state. Unverified accounts have limited access, reduced functionality, and are more likely to be flagged for suspicious activity until verified, resulting in failed campaigns.
What are the restrictions on Unverified accounts?
The table below shows unavailable features in an Unverified account.

How to get your account verified
Verify by upgrading your trial account
Click on the Upgrade button on the top right of your screen.
Verify via the API settings page
1. Navigate to Settings, and then API Settings
2. Click on Request Access or if you're ready to end your trial and move choose a plan then click Upgrade.
Verify by trying to send a link in a message
Start typing a URL or link into the text editor on the New message page. Click on Upgrade to choose a plan that best suits your business needs, or click on Request verification to trigger the verification process if you'd like to continue with your trial before upgrading.
Will I be notified once my account is fully verified?
Yes. If any further information is required you will receive an email requesting this. You will get an email confirming the status of your verification request.
How long does the verification process take?
Typically accounts are verified in 1-2 hours, however it can take up to 24 hours to verify accounts during high demand periods.
Important: Only accounts for registered businesses will be verified. Accounts found to be sending messages for personal use will be immediately terminated.
