Social Messaging | How to connect your Facebook Messenger to your Hub account

Follow this guide to connect your Message Media account to Facebook Messenger.

Channel requirements

Before connecting Facebook, you must have:

• a Facebook account
  For instructions, see How do I create a Facebook account.
• a Facebook page and admin rights to it
  For instructions, see Create a Facebook Page for your business. For more information on page roles, see What are the different page roles and what can they do?
• a chat button:
  For instructions, see How do I add an action button to my Facebook Page?

How to connect

1. Go to Settings then select Social Channels.

2. Go to the Available channels section.

3. Click Connect under the Facebook Messenger section.

4. To start the flow, click the Continue with Facebook button.

5. Log in with your Facebook credentials and complete the integration process in the Meta popup:

A) META Business Accounts - If you have several META business accounts, select the one you want to use.

B) Facebook Page - Select the Facebook page you want to connect to Message Media.

C) Permissions - Review and accept the requested permissions.

When complete, the pop up closes and the connection is Pending.

6. After few seconds your channel status changes to:

• Active - if the connection was successful.
• Failing - if an error occurred. You can see a description of the error.

Once connected, the Facebook section shows the name of your page.

How to connect several Facebook pages

If you have more than one page in your META business account and want to connect them to different accounts it is possible.

1. Connect your first page as instructed above.
2. To connect your other pages, follow steps 1 to 5.A) above.

3. Select the additional page you want to connect without deselecting the previous one. Only select one additional page at a time.

4. Jump back to step 4.C) above and finish the setup.
Repeat this process for each page you want to connect.
