When configuring your workflow in ActiveCampaign, you can trigger an SMS or MMS message as an action.
Add SMS and MMS as an action to your workflow
- In the ActiveCampaign workflow builder, click the + icon to add an action.
In the actions search bar, search for and click on Add SMS via MessageMedia.
(Optional) If you have any dedicated numbers on your Sinch MessageMedia account, you can select them from the drop-down list.
Note: To be able to receive replies, you must use a phone number and not a registered alphanumeric Sender ID (business name).
- (Optional) If you want inbound replies to apply only to a specific workflow, select the workflow ID in the Workflow ID field. This ensures inbound replies will only trigger actions on the specified workflow. If you don’t need to limit responses to impact a specific workflow, skip this step.
- Compose your message in the message text field. You can add merge fields to your message by clicking on the Personalize (lightning bolt) icon and selecting from a list of fields.
- (Optional) If you want to add an MMS, you can enter the Media URL into the Media Url field.
To do this, copy and paste the link to your image into the Media URL field and ensure the file is publicly accessible. Click Finish to complete the setup.
- To make your Automation active, click the Active button in the top right of the Automations page.
