Once you've connected the Sinch Power Automate connector, you may want to add SMS or RCS as an action to your workflows. When you add your first action or trigger from the Sinch connector, you'll be asked for your API credentials - be sure to store these somewhere safe until you're prompted to enter them.
To add RCS to your Power Automate workflow, you'll need to connect RCS to your Sinch MessageMedia account first.
Power Automate currently supports RCS basic messages.
Add the Send Rich Text Message (RCS) action to a workflow
- Log in and open Power Automate.
- From the left-side navigation, click on My flows.
- You can either create a New Flow or you can click on an existing workflow name and click on the pencil icon to edit.
- From within the flow, you can choose to add a trigger or choose where you want to add an action by clicking on the plus (+) icon.
- A pop-up screen will appear on the left. In the search box, type in "Sinch" and the Sinch connector will be listed as a premium connector.
-
Click on the Send Rich Text Message (RCS) action.
-
Configure the parameters in the Send Rich Text Message (RCS) screen:
- Destination Number: Enter the recipient's mobile number in E.164 format.
- Message: Compose your RCS message.
-
Advanced parameters: Set up additional parameters if the destination number is unable to receive RCS messages.
- Fallback SMS Sender ID: Select a Sender ID to be used to send a fallback SMS.
- SMS Fallback Message: Compose your SMS fallback message. If the recipient doesn't have RCS enabled on their mobile phone we will send them an SMS instead.
- Metadata: Add metadata key and metadata value if you would like to map metadata to your system.
- Once you've finished configuring your workflow, click on the Save icon.
- You'll also need to make sure you have connected RCS to your Sinch MessageMedia account. We recommend testing out your flow to make sure the RCS is sent and everything is set up properly.
