The messaging cost configuration page gives you control over the numbers behind your ROI reporting. By entering the correct messaging cost for SMS, MMS and RCS (if enabled), you'll ensure your reports accurately reflect the real cost of customer engagement.
Configure messaging cost
- Log into your Sinch MessageMedia account.
- From the left-side navigation, click on Extensions and then Integrations.
- Find the integration tile for the ecommerce platform you've connected e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce.
- Click on the See details button to open the integration settings.
- Click on the Messaging cost tab.
- Add in your cost ($) per message type for accurate reporting.
- The RCS option will only be applicable if you have an agent integrated.
- Other messaging channels e.g. WhatsApp or email aren't managed here.
Note: Each integration has its own configuration page, so make sure you're updating the right one.
Input costs for ROI reporting purposes
- Enter the cost ($) per message for each channel you're using.
- These inputs are used for ROI reporting - so make sure they reflect your actual subscription or contract price.
- Costs are not dynamic - they won't automatically update if your subscription changes, so you'll need to update them manually if your subscription plan/contract price is renewed or revised.
Best practices for accuracy
- Review your current subscription or contract before inputting numbers.
- Revisit the configuration page when your plan changes to ensure ROI reports stay accurate.
- If your business uses multiple ecommerce integrations, repeat the process for each integration tile.
