The Mailjet integration supports contact syncing from Mailjet to Sinch MessageMedia. This feature has been enhanced to support additional automation triggers. This means you can build workflows that react to specific email events, helping you create smarter and more personalized ecommerce experiences. Once the Mailjet integration is connected, you can build a new automation to connect email activity to SMS, MMS, and contact group management.
Note: Mailjet only supports one external integration at a time. If your Mailjet API key is already in use you will need to disconnect the service before enabling the integration here.
Create an automation
You can create an automation in the Sinch MessageMedia platform. To do this:
- Log in to your Sinch MessageMedia account.
- From the left-side navigation, click on Extensions and then Integrations.
- (Optional) If you haven't already, connect your Mailjet account by clicking on the Install button, reviewing the connection information and then click the I agree button. Continue with the Mailjet set up.
- Once the Mailjet integration is connected, from the left-side navigation, click on Automations and then My Automations.
- Click the Create New Automation button.
- Configure the automation.
- Automation name: Enter a name for the automation
- Description: Enter a description for the automation

Run automation when: Select from the triggers available e.g. An email is opened

Set the conditions: Select the conditions for the automation e.g. Link is equal to campaignlandingpage.store.com

Action: Select an action for the automation e.g. Send reply SMS
- Coupon code: Enter a coupon code if available
- Message content: Compose your message content for the automation
- Review details of the automation e.g. if you want to allow this automation to be triggered more than once.
- When you're ready, click Save as draft or Save & launch.
Triggers available
When a Mailjet integration is connected, you can build automations that start when:
- An email is sent
- An email is opened
- A link in an email is clicked
- An email has bounced
- An email is blocked
- An email is marked as spam
- A user unsubscribes from an email
Actions available
After a trigger occurs, you can choose from the following actions to continue the workflow:
- Add to group: Segment your audience based on email behaviour
- Remove from group: Keep your contact lists up to date
- Send reply SMS: Follow up with a text message after an email action
- Send reply MMS: Include images or rich content in your follow-up message
Conditions available
When setting up an automation, you can now add conditions to refine your workflows. Some conditions have an ecommerce focus, letting you create tailored journeys for customers based on their activity and engagement.
