Important: Before you start, you must have an RCS agent set up in your account.
If you’re using a third-party integration (such as HubSpot) with your Sinch MessageMedia account, and want to send RCS messages with rich content (such as buttons, cards, or carousels), you'll need to first create a template in the MessageMedia platform. After that, the template can be used directly from your third-party account.
RCS template formatting
There are 4 different message types to choose from. Before creating an RCS template, there are a few limitations and formatting rules to consider, depending on the message type you choose:

How to create an RCS template:
- Login to Sinch MessageMedia and navigate to Templates > Social Templates > click Create a Template button in the top-right corner.
- Under the Template Details section:
- Give your template a name
- Select the template language
- Select RCS templates as the template type
- Choose the message type (see examples above)
- Click in the “Next” button:
- In the Design Template section:
- You can compose your message and see a live preview on the right side of the screen.
- While composing, you can add text and media variables (like the customer’s first name). These variables will be replaced with real values when the message is set up from your third-party application.
- You can also add emojis to your message and use our AI Assistant to help refine your message by clicking the Get help from AI button.
- After composing your message, you can either save it as a draft or click Submit to finalize and save the template. Once submitted, the template will be available for use in your connected third-party account.
Managing RCS templates
In the All Templates page, under the RCS tab, you can:
-
View all of your RCS templates
-
Delete RCS templates by clicking on the more options icon (⋮)
-
Filter RCS templates by language, type, or status
Using templates to send via your integration
Below are links to instructions explaining how to send RCS messages via the third party integrations that currently support this. More will be added as the functionality is rolled out more broadly.
