HubSpot | Creating an Active List to register link clicks in your messages

If you're sending out an SMS campaign with a message that contains a URL, and you want to track which of your recipients have clicked the link, you can do so via an Active List.

Here's how:

1. Go to Contacts > Lists

2. Create a new Contact-based list and give it a name, remembering to select "Active list" from the options below

3. Add a filter, selecting SMS for HubSpot as the filter category

4. Click on the "Link click properties" option

5. Select "Click URL"

6. Enter the URL that you want to track, making sure it's the same as it is in your SMS message(s)

7. Save your list

What happens next?

When a contact clicks on a link (that matches the URL in your list parameters), they will be added to this list so you can see at a glance who has clicked on your links.
