There are two available views when it comes to profile lists in SalesForce. One is the standard, basic view, while the other is Enhanced (which is basically just a bit neater and segmented).
A lot of the support content we feature on this site and in the User Guide is based on the Enhanced view - so here's how to activate it (so that everything makes sense when you're following our support guides).
In SalesForce, click on the Settings Cog and select Setup:
In the search panel on the left, search for User Management Settings:
Then in the list, scroll down to Enhanced Profile User Interface and toggle the switch to Enabled:
And that's it, easy!
You can always come back and disable this option if you prefer the standard view - just remember that your experience might not line up with the images in our support content.
