All messages sent via Mercury SMS are viewable and reportable within Salesforce.
Messages are recorded in Salesforce as Task and SMS Message records. Once the application is installed, there will be message related fields available on the Task object that can be added to page layouts or used in reporting.
Important - We do not recommend modifying the SMS Message object or SMS Message records in any way as they are directly linked to the application's core functionality. |
Viewing Messages
- Messages will appear in the activity feed of the related object as a Task record.
- Message Tasks will have a subject of "SMS: Sent" or "SMS: Received."
- The Task also contains information about the message like the body, related records, account, related message, and phone numbers.
Reporting on Messages
When reporting on message activity, we recommend starting with a Report based on Tasks and adding a filter where the "SMS" checkbox field set to true, along with any additional filters required for the reporting use case.
