Bulk SMS messages can be sent to Campaign Members related to a Campaign, through the Send Bulk SMS button on a Campaign record page.
How to Send Bulk Messages to Campaign Members
1. Navigate to the desired campaign and click the Send Bulk SMS button - if this button isn't available, add it to the page layout.
2. Select the desired template or craft a custom message - merge fields can also be used as needed.
Note - If you'd like to use merge fields on a message to Campaign Members comprised of both Leads and Contacts, we recommend you use Campaign Member fields. If Lead / Contact fields must be used, ensure a field is inserted for both object types. For example: Are you still the {!Contact.Title}{!Lead.Title}? Reply Y for yes or N for no |
3. Configure the remaining fields as desired:
- Sender account - the account the message will send from.
- Sender ID - the number the message will send from.
- Send to: Contact -the phone field to send to on Contact campaign members.
- Send to: Lead -the phone field to send to on Lead campaign members.
- Status filter - optionally, filter the recipient list by campaign member status.
- Status update - optionally, set a status update to apply to the recipients' post-send.
- Tag - optionally, add a tag value that will be populated in the Tag field of each outbound message Task and any subsequent replies.
4. Click Send to send your message now, or Schedule the message to send at a later date/time.
