By connecting your MessageMedia account to your Active Campaign account using the API, you can view replies to SMSs triggered by your workflow within Active Campaign itself.
To start, you will need to log in to your Active Campaign account to retrieve your actID, Event Key, API URL and API Key.
To obtain your actID:
1. Go to Settings
2. Click on Tracking
3. Scroll down to Event Tracking and click on Event Tracking API
In the resulting modal, your actID will appear at the top. Copy this and paste it into a word document or your notepad for easy retrieval:
To obtain your Event Key:
As per the steps above, click on Settings, then Tracking, then scroll down to Event Tracking where you should see your Event Key just under the Status bar:
Copy this to a word document or your notepad.
To obtain your API URL and API Key:
In Active Campaign, go to Settings, then Developer, and then API Access, where you will see your API URL and API Key on the screen. Copy both of these to your clipboard for later use:
Connecting your accounts
Next, log in to your MessageMedia web portal account and going to the Integrations page, where you should see the ActiveCampaign extension. Click Install Now:
In the resulting modal, click Connect Now in the second option, Connect MessageMedia to ActiveCampaign:
You will then be presented with the following modal containing important information about the Active Campaign integration. Once you have read through this, click Next:
In the resulting modal, enter your actID, event key, API URL and API Key from ActiveCampaign (The instructions to obtain these are at the top of this article - you will also see instructions for locating each of these items beneath the relevant fields):
Click Connect when these credentials have been entered
