The following updates are now live in the web portal, as of March 4, 2021
New "Create Sub-account" Page
When creating a new sub-account, you now have the ability to set SMS limits and assign users at the point of creation:
1. Give your new sub-account a name
2. Set hourly and/or daily SMS limits (this is optional)
3. Assign users to the account (only users associated with the account under which the sub-account is being created can be assigned to the new sub-account)
Multi-tiered account hierarchies (up to five levels of sub-accounts)
Where previously there was a two-tier hierarchy (Parent account and on level of sub-accounts), there are now up to five tiers of sub-accounts available. Each tier can create multiple sub-accounts if required (an example of this is visible on the right hand side of the below chart):
- All accounts (Parent and sub-accounts) can have multiple users assigned to them.
- The Parent account has visibility of all Sub accounts
- Each Sub-account can only see it's own activity and that of it's associated lower-level sub-accounts
- Each level 5 sub-account can only see it's own activity
Level 2 sub-accounts are created in the Level 1 sub-account by going to Accounts, then Sub Accounts and selecting New Sub Account:
In the next screen, enter a name for the new Level 2 account, set SMS limits (if required) and assign users to the account (note - only users associated with the Level 1 account can be added to each Level 2 account):
This process is repeated to create subsequent accounts (i.e. log in to a Level 2 sub-account to create a Level 3 sub-account and so on).
Shared contacts - improved identifier
When logged into a sub-account and viewing contacts in a list (either in "All Contacts" or as part of a contact group), shared contacts with be shown with a familiar icon to illustrate the fact that the contact has been shared from the parent account. There is also a hover-over tool tip to explain the icon, and the restrictions around editing shared contacts:
This process is repeated to create subsequent accounts (i.e. log in to a Level 2 sub-account to create a Level 3 sub-account and so on).
