If the dedicated number is no longer required for sending messages from the inbox, you can either disable the Inbox integration or disconnect the custom channel entirely. Both actions can be performed from the Inbox Settings section in HubSpot.
Disabling or disconnecting the channel will not remove any existing SMS messages already stored in the inbox.
Editing or Deactivating the Inbox Custom Channel in HubSpot
To update the routing or ownership settings for conversations within the inbox, go to the Inbox Settings section in HubSpot. From there, you can modify how conversations are managed and who they are assigned to.
If the dedicated number is no longer needed for sending messages from the inbox, you also have the option to disable the Inbox integration without affecting any existing messages.
Disconnecting Inbox Custom Channel from HubSpot
If you need to remove the custom channel integration from the HubSpot inbox, this can be done from the Inbox Settings section. Please note that removing the integration will not delete any existing SMS messages that already appear in the inbox.
To disconnect the custom channel:
- Navigate to the Inbox Settings within your HubSpot Inbox.
- Locate the custom channel associated with the linked dedicated number.
- Hover over the channel, then click on the Options menu that appears.
- Select Delete Account to remove the dedicated number and custom channel.
- Confirm the action by clicking the Delete button in the confirmation popup window.
