You can connect multiple Sinch MessageMedia accounts to a single HubSpot account to better meet your organizational needs. This feature is particularly useful in the following scenarios:
- Branch-Specific Usage Tracking: If your organization operates across multiple branches, you can connect separate accounts to your HubSpot account to track SMS usage for each branch independently by sending campaigns and 1-1 messages using different accounts and sender IDs.
- Message Type Segmentation: Use one Sinch MessageMedia account for marketing messages and another for transactional notifications. This setup allows users to opt out of marketing messages while still receiving important transactional notifications, such as system alerts or order confirmations.
- Contact Segmentation for Different User Groups: Contact sync and segment contacts in Sinch MessageMedia Hub for various user roles within your organization. Eg: sales teams may only need access to leads, while marketing teams might require the entire contact database for their campaigns.
Setting the secondary Sinch MessageMedia Hub connection
It is straightforward to set up the secondary connection with your HubSpot account. Simply log in to the secondary account(s) and connect them as you did with your main account. You will be prompted with a confirmation message to approve your connection—just click ‘Yes’ and proceed.
How to use secondary accounts in HubSpot Workflows
You can send messages from different Sinch MessageMedia accounts and their respective Sender IDs within your workflows. This can be done by selecting the account from the ‘Account’ dropdown in the workflow action screen, and then choosing the desired Sender ID from the ‘Sender ID Name’ dropdown.
Note - Please note that this feature is currently available only in Contact-Based Workflows. |
How to Send 1-1 Messages Using Secondary Accounts
In some cases, you may need separate Sinch MessageMedia accounts for transactional and marketing messages. This ensures customers can opt-out of marketing messages while still receiving important transactional notifications.
To send a direct message using a different account, select the desired account from the ‘Account ID’ dropdown and the sender ID from the ‘Sender ID’ dropdown in the 1-1 messaging screen. Then, type your message and send it.
