If you're noticing that some features are missing from your inbox, it might be because you clicked the toggle to activate the new inbox.
The new inbox is currently in beta and may not include all the features available in the classic version. If you need to access the missing features, you can switch back to the classic inbox by clicking the toggle again. To learn more about the new inbox, check out this article.
Does toggling on the new inbox impact all users on my account?
No, a user toggling on or off the new inbox will not impact other users on the account. If a user toggles on the inbox, they are just toggling on their own personal view of the inbox. Every other user on the same account also has their own unique opportunity to switch back and forth without impacting any other user's view.
Can I switch back to the old inbox?
Yes, users can easily toggle back and forth between the new inbox and the legacy inbox.
Why are some features missing from the new inbox?
Whilst the new inbox works faster and better than the current one, it will take some time to add the features you're used to in the current inbox. We wanted to show you the new inbox well in advance so you have time adjusting to the new look and feel before we make the final switch to the new layout. In the meantime, if a feature you rely on is missing from the new inbox feel free to switch back and we'll update you as the new inbox reaches feature parity.
How long until the new inbox reaches feature parity with the legacy one?
We expect that by the end of November we'll be able to completely match the level of functionality you're used to on the legacy inbox. The difference will be a more powerful technical foundation that means that if at any given moment one of our customers gets millions of inbound messages, and another gets only a few, none of our customers will notice a difference in speed or service.
Why a new inbox in the first place?
The new inbox is built better. This means we have prioritized removing delays between sending and receiving messages for you and your customers. Even better, a stronger technical foundation means that we can improve our responsiveness to your feedback and industry trends, ensuring we offer only the best advancements in messaging tech.
