Why can't I send a message that contains a non-Shopify URL?
If you have tried to send your customers a message that contains a URL pointing to a site other than Shopify, you may have noticed that the message failed to send.
To protect you and your store from hackers attempting to send malicious phishing messages from your account, we have placed a hold on any non-Shopify URLs being used in SMS campaigns and automations. There are a number of reasons you may wish to send a non-Shopify URL to your customer base (e.g. to direct customers to your business's social media page) - so if you would like to enable this, send a message to email@example.com explaining what link you would like to use, and how you would like to use it.
